There are three types of Rule Submersible
pumps offering various flow rates. The Marine Industry has no specific
recommendations for sizing pumps to boats. At Rule we suggest 100GPH per
foot of vessel. This is strictly a suggestion. Installing higher
capacity or redundant pumps is always a good idea. Non-Automatic pumps require a separate Float Switch or Eco Switch to operate then automatically, the pump then operates with the rise and fall of the Float Switch, or the change of pressure in the Eco Switch bell.
